To keep it on topic; although I did not know the people in question it is always too bad when someone that has knowledge to share decides to keep it to themselves. And as far as the politics go it never hurts to know what the other side is thinking. It's always amazed me how the relative anonymity of the internet causes some people to act in ways they never would in public.
When the conflict outweighs knowledge, I prefer status quo, as in the way the board used to be, and currently is, and has been since said departure. There is not one entity here or anywhere that I would (nor anyone) for the matter, any self-serving agenda for the sake of cheap sensationalism.
I liked Jim as well, but my opinion of him took a turn when it came to head and enough was enough. Hell, I even publicly loathed Terry (69Firebirdman) Since then, he and I have been close friends and chatted about many things.
