I took the right fender off my 67 the other day and removed what was left of a hacked up blower case. There was a number stamped under it, and sure enough it matches the VIN. Good news I suppose. It was something like 7U157843.

I haven't seen this mentioned in the FAQ or anywhere else and I was wondering if this is typical. Are there any other places on the car where this can be found?
