Above story sounds just like the story about the cop who was sitting out on old highway 75 hiding with his radar gun and pulling people over. He sees a 67 firebird zip by and hits the lights and take off after him.
When he pulls the firebird over the cop says "boy I've been waiting all day for you to zip by so I could pull you over". The firebird guy says back to the cop, "well I got here as quickly as I could". The cop laughing, sends him on his way.
