Any easy way to get old exhaust manifolds off??

would like to install headers. My manifolds on my 67 look like they have been on forever. What are the chances of getting them off while still in car without breaking bolts. Should I just let an exhaust shop handle it. Would like to save that money, but is it worth the aggrivation? What have you all done?
