if there are any chips on the edges, it has a good chance of breaking coming out or going back in. do not pry on it at all.

i started on the side, with a curved pic, and dug the tar out until i could poke thru with wire. i had help from a friend too. i would be prepared to buy a new windshield, but if you're careful, you should be fine. mine cracked going back in because of a chip.
