Anybody have any info... are all the '69 th400s the same? I need an answer ASAP!
This PW th400 came out of a '69 Grand Prix that had a 400-4v. I plan on matching this trans with my '69 400-4v as well.
I understand the "P" prefix part of the PW stands for Pontiac, "B" is Buick, "O" is Olds, "C" is Chevy, but I didnt know what the "W" was unless it was simply body style. If the PW and PX are exactly the same except for the trans tag, no big deal.
Im just checking as I didnt know if there was a difference internally for the th400s that are used in Firebirds, GTOs, Grand Prix, Buick, Chevelles, Camaros, etc.
Any information in the next hour...would be greatly appreciated as Im driving a few hours north to look at this PW th400 and likely buy it. (Great deal of $150 for the trans and converter coming from a low milegae '69 GP where this was just removed last week.)
