I have a HS friend who moved to Australia sever years back, said it was the best decision of his life. He loves it there, not sure what the cost of living is like or the job market etc.
my neighbors across the street lived there 6 yrs, loved it ,thought of staying ,but they were far from their old friends and relatives....another neighbor of mine , also a good friend ,is from Melbourne (wife is Texan) loves it here... when I was in HS (looong ago!) I planned to move to Australia, the SouthEast coast. Never did though...got stuck in Texas after visiting.
