I believe the stock engine side wires for idiot light versus guages are the same. The original oil sending unit is electrical as is the temp (i.e., it's not the thermocouple style). The wire to the temp unit was green with a single female spade connector that slid over a nail head like post on the sending unit. The oil sending unit has a conventional male spade for the single wire attachment.
