Your lower tube should stick out of the block about 2 inches. It has a rounded top edge so the upper tube slides in. Your upper tube depends on whether you have air conditioning or not. AC are longer. The top should be straight not flared. That's what originals look like. You can never tell what an aftermarket looks like. There are a lot of wrong tubes being sold.
