Trying to figure out the correct wiring formation of the tail-lights?? Anyone have a 67 they can go identify colors & connections, then report back? The concern I have is the passenger side.
I have the harness coming back along driverside containing Yellow/Black/Light-Green/Brown/Dark-Green.
Yellow & Black split off into left tail-lens. Another yellow & black split off into the inner-left tail-lens. Light Green to the back-up lights. The light green wires that are attached to the back up lights aren't connected, I have them wired to a toggle via different wiring straight from fusebox. Somehow the reverse lights weren't operating in conjunction with my shifter being in reverse
Then I have only 2 wires (the dark-green wire and the brown wire) coming on the other side, I split each of those into both of the sockets. Again, the back up light on this side is same as the other side.
Lastly, in order to get the tail-lights, hazards and brake lights all functional, I had to take another spare wire and splice it in the dark-green from passenger side into the yellow on the inner driver side socket.
That is my story, just wondering if that is the way to go or am I mis-wired? Thing is, my turn signals don't work, which makes me believe I am mis-wired. That might be a different thread soon. Thanks for your input.
