Ah, good ol' Daryl's plates.. I have heard horror stories about him and the speed at which he works. Just as you said, others have told me that the final product is nice, but it takes over a year or more to get your plates back.
Rod over at TagDr told me he would have my plates for about 6 weeks and he had them back to me in four. My other friends that have used him all had their plates back in a 4-6 week period. He also sends you pictures as he works on them. He sends pictures to you once they are blasted in their bare metal form and communicates with you via email as he progresses on your plates.
Again, I was VERY pleased with him and highly recommend him to anyone getting plates restored.
"Daryl's" and "speed" should NOT be used in the same paragraph. 3 years of his wife telling me "I should have them in a week". My wife was convinced I would either never see them again, or would have to travel to eastern PA to go get them.
