I am doing the front end of the Bird and wanted to know if the horn relay is necessary. The American Autowire kit does not indicate to wire into a horn relay, just straight from the fuse block.
I am also switching to a single wire alternator to eliminate the external regulator and wiring since AAW does not indicate to wire into an external voltage regulator. Since the external regulator is wired to the horn relay in the old wiring, I figured that is what the horn relay was for.
Is the horn relay necessary for the new wiring setup?
