Couple pages back, I had posted about having trouble installing a fuel pump on my 68/400. Thanks for the tips, especially Firebob and hokie1984.
The problem now is that it's going in too easy. The tips said I'd have to crank it down, compressing the pump as it's installed. I understand the concept, it seemed to PUSH itself out as I initially pulled it.
Like I said, now it just slips in with no resistance, and it doesn't seem to make contact with the eccentric. I can put gas in the carb, and it will run until that's gone, but it's still not pumping anything to the carb.
Again, am I missing anything? You guys came through with some good answers, hoping one more will do the trick!
