Sorry to leave all in suspense. My back gave out bigtime the weekend before last (first ambulance ride...I think they could use some springs and shocks as well, bounced around like being in a tin can), so no amatuer mechanics for me for a bit. I did have a mechanic take a look at it on Monday, and the springs were indeed shot. He has a set on order and will install next week.
