The third picture in is a close up of the chrome louvers on the quarter panel. The front edge of each louver is painted black. Is that how they were originally? My repros were all chrome. I might have to get out the Testors enamel and a small brush to paint mine. Thanks, Pete
I remember my first '68 (coupe) I had back in 1980 had the paint on the front face of the louvers. I think it was flat black. Then a year or two later, I bought my first '68 ragtop, it was an original, rustbucket, basketcase. That car did not have the louvers painted. I have never seen one since with them painted. Maybe it's like the bird-glass mystery. Maybe someone else here can say for sure.
