I've search high and low on this one... No way to know for sure unless some went through every PHS and tallied the sales code 867-97904. But here's what I've been told by a former Pontiac dealership owner and first gen collector... Less than 5% were special order colors.
This was because that back then people still ordered their cars and that included checking the box for color. The special order colors did not make the normal color pallet in the brochures so people were less likely to choose a color that they did not see.
If 5% is a fair number for special order colors then by doing the math, the number of "O" cars is less than 589. I'd say much less than that due to the fact that Coronado gold was only offered as a spring '67 option out of the 7 special order colors.
Again, no way to know for sure, but that's my SWAG...
