Has anyone used the aerosol can for splatter paint for the trunk as a do it yourself? If so, how does it look? I cannot imagine you can get a good look with an aerosol can.

I see Ames sells some for $8 for a 14oz can. How many cans would I need? They also sell clear coat for the splatter paint. Do I need to apply that over the splatter coat?
