In my opinion I would go for a 4-wheel disc brake conv. My 68 Bird had 4-wheel drum and my 68 Camaro RS/SS conv. had factory front wheel disc. I did install a 4-wheel disc brake conv. kit on my 67 LeMans this past spring and I can say, there is nothing like 4-wheel disc brakes!
I bought a full blown conv. kit from CPP (classic performance product) out of CA. Their kit was excellent, although I did run into some issues. They were helpful and resolved my issues, shipped out correct parts overnight etc. All in all a MUCH bigger job than I imagined but well worth it in the end.
