Leaf springs are not bad with a strong pair of floor jacks under the rear frame rails forward of the axle, a good pair of tire chocks, and a floor jack (under the differential). Break all bolts loose before lifting, and be sure to use penetrating oil a day or so ahead, especially on the front spring pocket bolts.
