After one year of climate controlled storage in my guest room (had previously been packed away in a basement for 35 years or so before I purchased it) this wheel is now reduced to restorable quality. In a way I am glad, as otherwise it may have cracked during the heat of sitting in a delivery warehouse or truck, or on the first sunny day in someone's car, and that would have been very disappointing.
On the good side, it has relieved its built up stresses and a repair will be very effective. It will require one of the Eastwood or similar kits to repair.
