It is an ongoing personal experiment. I thought I would use some Kit with wax and one of those big soft car wash brushes on two of my vehicles to see, over a period of time, how well it cleaned and how the finish held up vs washing with water and a real sponge plus regular waxing.

One, a big full-size van, I found is just easier to wash and get clean with the big brush and soap. Since I stopped regularly waxing that vehicle years ago I don't fear stripping wax off it with soap. The other is the real experiment, a 2007 Pontiac.
