Based on my knowledg base, I would tend to agree that they are different because on the same make/model there are structural difference in vehicles that are goverened by stanard/delux and various w & w/outs. Also, 69 Camaro/Firebirds are different doors. The skin is the same, but the shell stands more outboard on a Camaro.
I think you ought to post pictures of the differnce. You can rest assured that once it's out in the open, it will be committed to personal data bases.
