too bad thats not a Northern Pike ...that would be good eating...my favorite fish meal...with fresh potatoes, melted butter and dill ...mmmmm
Jackfish = Northern Pike = Slew Shark
Excellent fish if caught in cold deep water. Pike in Alberta is as common and dandelions. lol
good, no wonder it looked 'familiar', mine never were that big , but 2-2.5 footers were pretty common
I had thought that "jackfish" in the picture was a muskie rather than a northern, although I can only really tell by looking at the number of holes under the jaw.
