The AC worked when I removed it but leaked. I bought an O-ring kit which was picked up and shipped to me by Lambert (desert68, thanks again). The compressor muffler was painted black so I removed the paint from it, installed the o-rings and charged the system. I borrowed a sniffer from work and the system is holding the charge fine.

I still have some things to do in the engine compartment. The wire bundle on the drivers fender has a broken clip that is supposed to hold the wires close to the top of the inner wheel well. The red wire running over the evaporator case and to the positive battery cable needs to go. I have a replacement engine harness I still need to put on and want to buy the front wiring harness. Craig (68pls400) picked me up a windshield washer pump (mine is missing) which I will install after I rebuild it. Other than a couple small items such as clamping and things I am done in the engine compartment.

Thanks for the kind words. The photos really don't show the true color of the car. I will have to see if I can snap a couple in the shade.
