I would like your opinions on this car that a person I know is thinking about purchacing. The car is a 68 firebird thats in total pieces. This is what the seller is telling him. "The car is a factory 400, deluxe interior, four speed, posi, factory color is red." This is some of the parts he has. Factory 400 hood with tack, old 400 front bumper new rear bumper, all fenders and doors, all glass except the front, rally gauges, numbers matching 400 motor thats in pieces and needs rebuilt, factory muncie 4 speed thats been rebuilt, factory front disc, new tail lights, all seats but they need redone, new carpet and door seals thats still in box, door panels. The list goes on. I work with the seller so I do believe his word. This is the catch! The original 400 car was hit hard. He had this work done to it. The 400 car fire wall was cut out and welded to a doner car. He say the quarters have very little rust. After he had this done at a shop the car has sat in his garage since for a couple of years. Again its in total pieces but he has 90% of the car. He wants $3,500.00 for the car. MY question to you is that if the car was restored will there be any issues with calling it a # mathing car? Thanks Joe
