You say your wiring is new, so at this point I would say start tracing your wires from the fuse block to the drivers door switch checking for power at any connections along the way. Did you use separate groung wire to test with when you used the "battery and power lead?" The window motors and doors don't seem to ground well, especially if just restored the car and painted everything. I had to run a ground wire from the window motor assembly out the door and grounded it by the kick panel.
