I got looped in on the purchase of the car helping a friend, and unfortunately things did not work out for him to buy the car at this time. Then found another friend looking for the car, however the car has been at my storage until he would be able to work on it (he has a “few” other Pontiacs he is working on), so I ended up buying the car, then get powertrain, several misc parts, (i.e. new 400 hood, valance pieces, etc), pay registration and fees, etc.
This is a VERY solid convertible 1967 Firebird, was originally a Burgundy color, V8, unsure if manual or auto however has the manual pedals on the car, so likely manual originally. I have the Vin and Body tag information (was not being able to decode everything as the analyzer seems to be down on the site)
The car is rust free aside from light surface rust on some spots. No rust on quarter panels, floors, cowl area etc. Has rust spots and small hole on the trunk center area which seems normal on verts of this era (could be patched or replaced with a pan – I bought a new pan). I bought a 400 YS Code (believe GTO engine) with mild cam and other upgrades from a great local Firebird vert guy (was able to ride with him before he pulled his engine in favor of a built 455). Also have a rebuilt turbo 400 transmission I can include with the car)
Also have several other parts for the car, new 400 hood with scoops, new lower valance and fender extensions, new trunk pan, other new weatherstripping pieces, etc. car has the convertible frame in very good shape, interior is there in decent shape, front and rear seats (will need new covers, new carpet etc), etc.
The car is located in Northern CA, and I am willing to ship or help with shipping if needed. Trying to recoup what I have invested in the car, so asking $9200 what I believe is more than fair. A lot of time already invested, trim removed, etc in preparation for paint. I will post pics soon. Beware the paint is in horrible shape, but all panels are straight. Rera quarter on driver’s side look like was replaced or partially redone, and nice work, however top area needs filling redone, what is very simple.
