We caught and came home with 3 halibut from Seward in the 15-20 pound range. It's like fishing for grouper, bottom rig with a bait and lift on the hit. The barn door halibut seem to be near Montague island between Resuerrection bay and Seward and Prince William sound. Weather kept us from running there. You can only keep one Halibut per person except for the Seward and Homer fisheries. You think Florida has tough fishing regs, Alasaka's are even tougher, but deserved to keep the fisheries viable.
