I can relate. Good Pontiac engines are getting few and far between these days where as old chevys are still pretty much a dime a dozen. I keep one in my garage for that very reason.
You will also need to change out the eng frame mounts. (Piece between motor mount and sub). Don't think your pontiac shroud will line up either.
