I have always wondered if the "lean" had something to do with the staggered shock set up. Would be interesting to see if the 67 guys experience the same thing.
Not sure if they still make them but aftermarket shackles with multiple height settings could be used to raise one side and then the excess material cut off the bottom. I wouldn't personally recommend air shocks.
