Just weing in. I had a friend of mine looking to do red seat belt on his car. He had gold ones. He disassembled the buckle,pulled the belts out of the retractor and crefully masked the GM tags on the belt. He then got some standard fabric dye and dyed the belts at home. They came out looking perfect! That was 2 years ago and they still look good
