Motor mounts will not be an issue. Pontiac designed bolt-on brackets that correctly position Pontiac motors onto the Camaro/Nova/Firebird subframes. Also the subframe to body mount locations are all the same.
Yes, your 72 Nova subframe is only compatible with '69 or aftermarket control arms and possibly steering components.
So just make sure you ask for and use '69 suspension components from now on.
