I want to thank all of you for the effort you put in to look this up.I purchased a master parts catalog 1968 and back and indeed it is as gus68 and haroldb point out BRUSHED.Near as I can figure the parts guy I had look up which ring was using a newer master parts catalog. The corrosion issue was the only thing we could come up with of why it specified drum or disc. The master parts catalog did specify drum or disc.and listed each accordingly. So I admit I was wrong!!but as least it was based on misled information...So the car now has the correct BRUSHED trim rings on.
Glad it all worked out for you. What would the judges do in a case where you had put on factory disc brakes on the car but it did not originally come with them? I'm thinking of installing additional STOCK options on my car, like factory tilt. Would they deduct points?
