In September of 2007, Gore made a speech where he said that by September 2013, the polar ice caps could be gone, completely melted away. The answer of course was to give Gore more money, he'll make you feel better.
As of September 2013, NASA satellites photos of the Arctic show a 60 percent increase in the polar ice sheet, more than half the size of Europe, despite predictions by climate scientists and Al Gore that the North Pole would be completely melted by now.
