My bad. I looked in my engine/upper suspension album. I have numerous albums, each containing hundreds of high resolution macro shots of every square inch of the car, in case I ever have to get into a pissing contest with an insurance company. The return spring bracket was--duh--in the underside frame and suspension album.
It bolts facing forward, just below where the brake line runs turns past the steering box. (The new line in the existing photo references the marked bolt in the inside of the frame.) It’s the best angle I have in my photo album. Someone ought to have en exploded view of that area.
Mine now has a slush box, but I left the brackets on, so it didn’t disturb the subframe; also, the bolts have never been removed since it was installed.
Texas trivia: What year did that inspection sticker expire?
More Texas trivia: Lots of 9’s are northern transplants, documented by PHS. And most 9’s are LOR built. Mine’s a LOS-built native Texan, Musser Motors, Terrell, TX, and based on shipping logistics, it seems likely that all native Texan 9’s would be LOS built. Is you car’s home dealership in TX and, if so, is it a LOS or LOR build?
