Bernie, the 488296 should be the long nosed version, which was used from 1969-up. Just to be sure, you can measure that pump when you take the pulley off. As stated above, it's either 4" deep or 4.5" deep, and yours appears to be the far more common 4.5" deep.
You'll need the 2-5/8" deep double pulley, which is also fairly common, and of course a new belt.

Thanks again for the info. Yes, based on what I can tell, mine is the longer nose water pump. I also believe the correct stamp that should be on the pulley for the longer nose version is 9799127 and I do see a couple of those for sale. Thanks again for the guidance!
