I did a rebuild on my 69 brake system. It has the manual 4 wheel drum setup. All brake components are new except parking brake cables and backing plates. Almost immediately after letting the self adjusters do their thing I noticed a little rub on each wheel revolution. After inspecting the brakes 3 times and not finding any issues i noticed the shoes on the ps were cutting into the backing plate ever so slightly and the inside of the drum was scored from the edge of the shoes. I gave the hub a spin and noticed a 2-3mm drop in one spot as it rotates. My thoughts are either the axle itself is bent, or perhaps the housing. Anybody have any thoughts on this? And also recommendations on sourcing a new axle if need be. I'm also not sure where to find the info on my specific gear ratio, etc. Cheers, -Michael
