Do I have to use the tall valve covers? Obviously, the engine manufacturer used the tall ones for a reason (biger rocker arms). But If I find a lower profile valve cover and it does not touch the rocker arms, would it be alright? The only compromise would be the air space between the rocker arm and the inside wall of the valve cover will be less (less space for the oil to splash around), is this compromise pose an issue with performance and function? If I can get away with changing the valve cover rather than the booster, cost will be less.
