Hi, I have a 67 firebird convertible which has a chevy 350 (1986) and it has a purolator 12s fuel pump. The pump recently works fine but recently when I start the car it is very loud and a few times the car has stalled out after starting. I spoke to my mechanic and he said it could be a clogged fuel filter but I don't see an inline one and there is not one in the edlebrock carb. When I look at the pump it looks like it may have a filter on the receiving side of the pump but I don't know if that is what it is. Should I just replace the pump? From what I've read a 12s pump pushes 4-6 psi but that is what I've read on blog and forums. Thanks for your helps Kevin
