Restoration of my 68 vert is in progress and I'm going to need a new top. The body will be painted as original - Solar Red. The original top is ivory / white as is the interior (Pearl Parchment), with console and black carpet. I'm seriously considering replacing it with a black top, as I think that is a more aggressive look with the red. I do not intend to change the interior, for budgetary reasons and I like the red / white look when the top is lowered. If I changed to a black top, I would continue to use the white (pearl) boot, so that it looks uniform with the interior when the top is down. Oh yeah, Rally II's with redline F70-14's will complete the look.

Am I bending any so-called, cardinal rules? Anyone have a similar setup? Would appreciate any comments / opinions.
