Background info - recently bought a '68 F'bird 400, Alpine Blue, Ivory White vinyl top, Parchment White interior. Mostly original body & interior (different bucket seats) with original paint, but has a strong chebbie 427 and Muncie 4 sp (believe it's an M22). Trans tunnel hacked a bit to accommodate shift linkage. Currently has 4.33 geared posi rearend.
According to PHS, she came with a 330 horse 400, Hydramatic (TH400, I guess), 3.08 gears, pushbutton radio with manual antenna, rear seat speaker, "custom wheel discs" (what does this mean?), console, dual exhaust, power steering, tilt wheel, soft ray glass (windshield), power windows, fold down rear seat, F70x14 white - wide oval tires.
So, based on that, I'm guessing I have a fairly basic '68 400 car with two somewhat rare options -power windows and fold down seat, right? Nobody is going to crucify me if I don't do a nut and bolt restoration, right? I won't hack her up, will replace the chebbie with Poncho power, but will probably add some bolt ons.
