My 68 freshly rebuild motor sits close the the firewall and quite a bit away from the fan shroud. The distributor just touches the firewall. We used the old mounts, they were taken off the motor for the rebuild. I think the motor was sitting that far back when I got the car. Is it possible to have the mounts backwards or the wrong mounts? Someone said they might be Parisienne mounts.
Any info would be welcomed.
