Finally getting the floor pan and firewall welded in tonight. Could not stop myself from checking and re checking the measurements but finally decided it was good enough. By the way, the elevation measurements in the service manual are totally wrong. Must be a typo but elevation "e" should be 18 1/2" not 11 3/4".
