The 69 V8 Firebirds have the curved Pitman arm and as far as I know it doesnt matter if it was power or manual steering. The 6 cylinder firebirds have the straight Pitman arm.
I was under the impression the above is true for ALL the FGF's.
You are correct Salmon, as far as I am aware that is true. Also, I believe all the curved ones were all non-wearing like the pic. I think a lot of people also get confused because the camaros used a straight one and a lot of places sell them as correct for the Firebird.
