Don't help with installation, but whenever replacing lines like brake and trans, etc, just cut the pipe as close to the fitting as possible. Then use a socket/wrench to remove fitting.
From memory only get about a 1/4 turn at a time at the trans w/a line wrench. Have to be patient.
Remove lower 1st, then upper. Reverse to install.
