In the process of a frame up restoration of my '67 and hoping for a little help on the power steering upgrade. My car came with OEM power steering and having read that mid-80's Iroc Camaro steering boxes were the one to go with I have since purchased one ('85) and returned the core. I also picked up '85 power steering pump and lines so everything would work OK together.
Yesterday I dug a little deeper and found out that there seems to be tons of variables in the setup and that even though the box is the same size and bolts on OK, the steering coupling is usually different and may require different pitman arm than stock.
Given what I have said, am I going to run into problems trying to make this work? Would the better choice be to buy a re-manufactured quick ratio box like this one and then just swap out and use all the rest of my existing parts and just buy pump and lines for a 67 model?
@salmon38 - Do you have a model / stock number for the box you got from NAPA?
