Over the past 25 or so years, I estimate I have seen 50 to 60 RAI's in various condition. I would estimate probably another 10-12 at auction over say the past 15 years.
I would be guessing, but I would say 40-50% are still out there in some form or another. Most people didn't realize how important or rare the RA cars were and how valuable they would become as there were no firm publications on production numbers.
