Picked up the Plasticote 227 Pontiac metallic blue today, didn't want to wait for the Hirsch paint (i know,i know) as i get the car back most likely tomorrow and want to get the motor back in.Will see how it turns out.Colour looks good, probably not as good as the Hirsch but should do the job, at least look a lot better than how i had it before. The paint can says rated 260 celcius(500 fahrenheit) Q, you mentioned these brands would/may/should require a primer unlike the Hirsch paint, what would one use to primer the cast areas for this purpose? How many coats of paint have you guys used for your engine? Thanks,
David
