Does anyone know the space available between stock aircleaner height and bottom of hood for a 68 firebird? Looking to change intake manifold that will increase carb height. My car is taken apart so no way to reference existing height. Ive gotten new manifolds for other cars that suggest a clay trick in the instrucitons. Make a column of clay on top of the aircleaner lid and close the hood. Clay will get depressed. Open hood and measure height of crushed clay column.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Im guessing no difference between 400 and 350 hood. But just in case....Mine is a 400.
