I thought someone could benefit from my experience with the various under hood black spray can paints that are available. I got several gloss levels from NPD. I proceeded to prep my Firebird and spray them. They looked beautiful except for some areas that raised when the paint dried. The next day I sanded them out but the way they reacted to sanding suggested to me that they had not dried. After doing some diligence I got to the company that put the spray cans together. They were very helpful. They said that you must apply all the coats you want to waiting no more than 5 minutes between coats. After that they tell me the drying and recoat time is 2 weeks to 30 days. This is a very long time for paint to cure. So I think you will like the way the paint works but you need to be prepared to wait a very long time if you need to make any touch ups after you first spray the paint.
